Cece
Cece is an (estimated) 5 year old mixed female who was picked up as a stray by the Weatherford/ Parker County shelter with her puppy. Her puppy was adopted but Cece struggled in the shelter, very scared of everything going on and cowering in her kennel. We were able to bring Cece into rescue, and since then, she has really begun to open up. Cece aims to please and is a real sweetheart. She loves to snuggle and sleep in her foster’s lap. She understands ‘come’ and is learning ‘sit’ and ‘stay.’ A calm pup, she does not yet understand the concept of playing with a ball. She is housebroken, and is getting more comfortable on leash, meeting new dogs and going on car rides. She does have some hesitation around men, but is becoming less and less afraid of new people as she gets more and more socialized. Cece needs a quiet home so she can fully recuperate and heal from being in the shelter. She gets along with her four foster cats friends (though it took a minute) and would probably benefit from no young kids, but would likely do good with a dog friend to take confidence from. She has escaped through a fence, so adopters need to make sure they have a very secure fence line or take her out on leash only. She is also very smart so though she is not super active, she does need to be mentally engaged.
