Jigs is a gorgeous, 9 YO, 40 lb purebred boy who was surrendered by his owner due to no fault of Jigs. Jigs is a personable, affectionate and happy boy but has some major anxiety issues. Jigs can NOT be left alone outside by himself and will injure himself to get back inside the house (broken teeth). Once inside, Jigs is a much happier boy. Also, Jigs is very noise sensitive and gets very anxious during storms and once chewed through a crate. He has taken calming chews in the past but that is it.

Otherwise, Jigs is your typical BC boy – high energy play and herding drive. He gets along great with other dogs and loves people, though little ones make him nervous. He has lived with a dog-savvy cat. He walks well on a leash, has good recall, and is house-trained. He does jump up when excited and barks until he greets you, then quickly quiets down. He loves the pool and water but was never trained to stay out of it so needs a secured pool area only.

His new FURever family will need to have gentle patience with Jigs’ anxiety and keep an eye out for other potential triggers. He will be a fantastic companion to the right family who is active and outdoorsy, maybe even work from home or retired, and he can free roam inside/out (dog door).
