Tobie (6 mo, 28 lbs) is a sweet young boy who just wants someone to give him their heart. He is timid at first but is very loving once he warms up to you. He loves playing with all kinds of toys, especially soft ones that go squeak! He sleeps with his favorite duck toy every night in his crate. The crate is his safe spot, and he sleeps soundly through the night and eats his meals in it. He is 99% housetrained already and will use a doggy door!

He enjoys spending time in the yard wrestling with his brother and has even started learning to play fetch with a ball! Toby is still a puppy who gets scared at new things but is very food motivated and can usually be persuaded to try new things for a treat. He is a 6ft velcro dog, meaning he wants to be within 6-8 ft of you or his brother all the time. He enjoys scratches on the head the most and will curl up next to you on the bed for a nap.

He is quiet and not a big barker but will join in with a couple woofs if other dogs start. He is still working on becoming a good leash walker, mostly because he gets scared of being restricted by it. But he will come when he is called most of the time, especially if you have something tasty! He has started herding other dogs and humans especially when he gets stimulated and is learning when that is ok or not. He may do best in a home without young children as fast jerky movements do scare him and he can get overwhelmed at too many big loud things going on at the same time.

Tobie just needs someone who is patient and loving and can give him a stable environment so he can flourish into the even more amazing dog he is meant to be! A fun loving gentle doggy friend would be a big plus!
