McCoy

McCoy is a beautiful 3-4 year-old special needs boy with lots of love to give. He loves snuggles and the couch is his favorite napping spot. He likes toys and all, but he really appreciates a good elk antler. He’s a fast learner and loves having a job to do, but will settle down and sleep with the best of them – no worries about storm anxiety with this guy. He likes to swim, run, and ride in the car. He gets along well with familiar adult humans and older children who give him consistent cues, but his deafness can cause him to have some anxiety in unfamiliar situations, which he has been working through like a rock star. He will chase cats if they run, or he is crated, but has been with dog-savvy cats in the household without an issue. He loves to play with other dogs, but he doesn’t always understand their cues when he can’t hear them, so potential canine siblings would need to be tested on a case-by-case basis.
