Please carefully read the following policies and statements before continuing to the Owner Surrender Form.
BCSAVE is an all volunteer in-home foster Texas based rescue. Before any dog can be brought into the rescue, we have to first make sure we have an open foster: one which is willing & able to take the specific dog into their home. Since every foster house has different requirements, such as good with cats, good with kids, high energy sport, female/male only, etc., the more information we have the better we are able to determine how we can help.
BCSAVE stays full at all times and often gets multiple requests a week. Since we are an all volunteer in-home foster based rescue, we are unable to take in every dog from every request we get.
Once you submit the form with the dog’s information we will decide if your dog is a good fit for the rescue and see if we have a foster who is a good fit and willing to take in your dog.
Other Options – Even if BCSAVE is not able to take your dog into the rescue, here are a couple of optional things we can do to try and help:
- We often have a waiting list of fully vetted adoption applicants who are waiting for very specific types of dogs (it can be age, sex, “look”, color, size, herdy, high toy drive, couch potato, and just about anything else you can think of). We can see if any of them match up to your dogs, put them in touch with you directly, and help process the adoption.
- We can reach out to other rescues we partner with and provide them with the pictures and questionnaire to see if they can help.
Out of State
BCSAVE is unable to take in owner surrenders outside of Texas and the immediate surrounding areas. If you are out of state, we advise you check out our Other Rescues FAQ and see if there are any rescues closer to your area that may be better able to help.
