Cahill was part of a group of five Border Collies surrendered to the Abilene Shelter when their owner passed away. Approximately 7 years old, Cahill was a sweet and mellow guy who had a rough start in life. His rust-colored coat was dull and rough, and he has lots of hair loss, especially on his belly and tail, likely due to a poor diet and flea and other allergies. He was also heartworm positive and started on fast kill treatment but had some heart palpitations so was taken off fast kill treatment and placed on slow kill. Even with all this, Cahill was a wonderful little pup who learned to love ear scratches and belly rubs. His favorite thing to do besides lay at your feet was to beg for treats, something he probably never enjoyed before. His new mom saw him online and after a long distance vetting process, flew Cahill to his new home in FL where he could live out the rest of his years, spoiled rotten in the Sunshine State.
