Well, Rhett (formerly known as Apollo, Harley, Appa and Jellybean) has found his FURever home!

Rhett came to BCSAVE, courtesy of a Good Samaritan who took him in after witnessing him get hit by a car in downtown Dallas. Even though she was planning a move out of town, Rhett’s angel cared for him while he recovered from his injuries. During that time, she was looking for a rescue to take Rhett in as she was not able to take him with her, and BCSAVE was able to assist. After he came to BCSAVE, we then discovered he was heartworm positive and immediately began treatment to kill the heartworms. A wonderful foster stepped up to care for Rhett during the treatment, which requires severe activity restriction. It was during this time that Rhett’s new parents met him and instantly fell in love. Of course, the real test was how Scarlett, their female Aussie was going to feel.

Well, as you can see from the picture here, she fell for Rhett just as hard as her parents did!

From his foster:

“Well… his name was Jelly Bean, then Appa, then Harley, then we called him Apollo, his forever name is Rhett. Introducing… Rhett and Scarlett! ❤️ He matches his new name perfect, he is calm cool and handsome. He can handle that wild little Southern Belle. ❤️?

We love a love match like this one!
