Jake is a recent owner-surrender. Jake started exhibiting anxiety around the family’s youngest child, and the environment was not a good one for either Jake or the family. So they reached out to BCSAVE for help. An assessment was done, and Jake, while having some nervous tendencies, seemed to be a pup who could be rehabbed with the right training and so we took him into rescue.
A gorgeous purebred BC, Jake has a lot of ball drive and athletic ability; he loves playing ball and frisbee. He is also easily able to scale a 6 ft fence and has done so when left in the backyard during storms, which he absolutely does not like. He also has some anxiety and hesitation around new people and in new circumstances, but is receiving behavioral training. Because of his temperament traits, we will require his adopter to be an experienced BC handler in order to continue to provide Jake with the consistency and training he needs to thrive. Applicants can submit an adoption application today to begin the adoption process.
