Jake is a recent owner-surrender. Jake started exhibiting anxiety around the family’s youngest child, and the environment was not a good one for either Jake or the family. So they reached out to BCSAVE for help. An assessment was done, and Jake, while having some nervous tendencies, seemed to be a pup who could be rehabbed with the right training and so we took him into rescue.
A gorgeous pure-bred BC, Jake has already shown some serious ball drive and athletic ability; he is easily able to scale a 6 ft fence. He is currently being assessed and receiving behavioral training so is not available at this time. When he is available, we will likely require his adopter to be an experienced BC handler in order to continue to provide Jake with the consistency and training he needs to thrive. However, interested applicants can submit an adoption application today to begin the adoption process.
