Banjo is one of twenty-nine dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in far North Texas. Approximately six months old as of October 2024 and around 30 lbs., Banjo is one of the most confident of the bunch and one of the quickest to acclimate to being in a foster home.
Since joining BCSAVE, we have found that Banjo is a curious, playful guy that won’t let fear or his past hold him back! Banjo LOVES kids and other dogs. In just his first week, he’s learned to trust humans, come when called, fetch, “drop it,” some basic house manners and leash walking, among other things- this guy is smart! He is quiet in his crate and house trained. He would be happiest with an active, playful family that can also show him patience, as some things are still a little new and scary (like cars and vacuums)! But Banjo doesn’t panic as long as he has a human he trusts close by and a little time to experience new things. Banjo’s nickname is Bandit because of his eye mask and his affinity for snatching shoes and socks (what puppy doesn’t enjoy some good ‘ole shoe mischief!?). He has shown interest in the free range chickens but comes away from them when called. Banjo is ready to love and be loved!
