Meet Brandie, a 9-month-old fully papered ABCA purebred Tri-Red Border Collie who is just beginning her journey into indoor family life. Surrendered by her breeder, Brandie has spent her life as an outdoor dog with very little human contact—and now she’s discovering the world for the first time.

Brandie is extremely skittish and fearful of new experiences, but despite her nervousness, she has a gentle heart and a strong desire to bond. She is particularly drawn to adult females, latching onto them after a period of comfort and becoming their loyal shadow, often peeking out from behind their legs for security.
She hasn’t been exposed to men before, and they are very intimidating to her. She will keep a 10-foot distance from men and strangers and will bolt if approached too quickly. Right now, she is just beginning to navigate the world, and everything is new and overwhelming.

Despite her anxiety, Brandie has no fear aggression, has never growled, bared her teeth, or attempted to bite. She is gentle, submissive, and allows handling. You can reach into her crate to leash her without any issues, and if you can get your hands on her, she will let you pick her up and carry her around without resistance.
She is completely non-reactive to handling, allowing you to touch her food, toys, bones, and leash her without hesitation.

On leash, she walks beautifully without resistance, moving at a comfortable pace and showing confidence, especially during quiet nighttime walks.
In public settings, you are her lifeline. She will cling to you like Velcro, never wanting to be far from your side. At home, she may keep a comfortable distance and observe you.

Brandie has not yet been tested with children or cats.
