Alaska

ADOPTED!

Age: 1 Year
Sex: Female (Spayed)
Coat: White Semi-rough coat
Weight: 40 lbs

Alaska is a beautiful white BC mix,  approximately 1 year old and 40 lbs, who was an owner surrender to one of BCSAVE’s shelter partners. One of BCSAVE’s more mellow pups, she was a wonderfully sweet and friendly pup who discovered a love of toys and swimming while in rescue. She was adopted to a young couple but was not a perfect fit, so came back into rescue. One of BCSAVE’s alums wanted to help out and foster a pup, and took Alaska in. They marketed her at work, introduced her to all sorts of new people and places, and were so successful that BCSAVE got FOUR adoption applications for her! After meeting with all the prospective adopters, a perfect match was made with an adopter who was also a close friend and neighbor of the fosters, which meant Alaska not only got a new mom, but could also still visit her BCSAVE foster family and fur-sister as often as she wanted!  We love our fosters and are so thankful that they helped find Alaska her FURever home!

s a little nervous on car rides, but that will improve with time and practice. Her great personality and temperament made her a great match for a family looking for a dog that could live in a more urban environment with frequent visits to parks and walks outside.
