Buttercup

Buttercup is the older littermate to four boys who came to BCSAVE courtesy of a West Texas shelter, surrendered by owners as the remnants of an accidental litter.

At just 21 lbs., Buttercup is the smallest of all the pups. She does love treats though, and loves being around her people. She is great with other dogs, even those larger than she is, and will put up with our larger BC pestering with no complaints. She has not been cat or kid tested, though with her temperament, we can’t imagine she would have problems with either. She is fairly timid and takes a bit to warm up to new people but once she does, she is snuggly and will stay in your bed all night if you let her.

She is not very food motivated though she will run through the basics (here, sit, and down) if you have something good. She barely show any interest in toys and will only interact with them if you’re not watching. She does show a strong herding drive and will tired herself out trying to corral her foster brother as he chases dragonflies. She showed no interest in livestock but that’s probably due to her timidness rather than lack of interest.

She seem to be housebroken, but one would be wise to crate her when unattended as she will get into things. She handles crating well and is a great little all around dog.
