Clover

Clover joined BCSAVE with Gemini after their original owners moved out of state and extended family could not care for the two pups any longer. Clover’s owners claimed she was purebred working stock, and she does have some herding drive. At 36 lbs and approximately 2 years old, Clover was a little timid with new people and situations when she first joined us but has come such a long way. She loves her people and being outside and you can see her confidence growing.

She is great with other dogs, and is supposed to be good with cats and kids, though we have not tested her personally. She is medium to medium-high energy, and settles nicely with no issues. In the short time she’s been in rescue, we have not seen much interest in toys but she does loves to herd the other dogs and loves to go to the pond on her own and splash around. She is great in a crate, and okay on leash once she gets to know you, and is house-trained.

Clover is missing two toes on her left rear foot. We think that she may have gotten her toes/ foot caught in something and ripped two toes out. Because of this, she often hops when she runs, raising her left foot off the ground. It doesn’t impede her ability to walk, run, or herd though!

Overall, Clover is a friendly girl who loves to get pets and who just needs a little but more confidence building to be the best BC she can be!
