Fia was found by a rescue supporter and turned her into the shelter. At the shelter, Fia was scared and anxious and did not respond well to being collared, so she was labeled “aggressive” and “vicious”, and all indications were that she would have been PTS (put to sleep). Another BCSAVE volunteer assessed Fia and found her neither of these things and notified us that we needed to rescue this sweet pup immediately! We ran to the shelter, got this pup into our rescue, brought her to our staging foster, and quickly discovered that this pup is a lovable, snuggly, playful girl.
Fia was a little reactive towards men and new situations but worked with her foster to overcome this. She was adopted out but then returned due to no fault of her own. She went back to her foster who decided that the perfect match for Fia was in their home and not with anyone else! They reached back out to BCSAVE, told us of their decision, and we agreed – Fia was home where she needed to be! She joins two mini-Aussie sisters and one soon to be baby brother or sister!
