Finn

Finn was found by a rescue angel in the Austin Texas area who was referred to us after trying to find Finn’s owner after several days/ weeks. She realized that Finn’s behavior (mouthy, door dashing, crazy fast, super hyper, nippy) would not lend itself to a positive shelter and/or adopter experience, so she worked with us to get Finn directly into foster care. So far, everything the rescue angel told us was correct lol.

Finn is a very sweet boy who really likes attention, and he’ll demand it by nudging you with his nose. He’s never shown any aggression, but he takes a while to warm up to new people. If he’s outside, he likes to pace around sniffing everything and chasing any bugs he can get to come out of the grass. He doesn’t really understand bedtime and doesn’t like dog beds, but he’ll happily get in his crate and stay there quietly all night.

He’s still learning house manners and will have accidents sometimes. He’s full of energy and needs some outlet for it. He’s not very food nor toy motivated but that could change. He’s friendly with dogs, but he can be too rambunctious for some. He needs to be paired with an assertive dog that will teach him good manners. He rides great in the car. He can be an escape artist sometimes, following you out the door and sliding through the gaps. You’ll also need to make sure you keep your counters clean, he likes to counter-surf sometimes. He sometimes likes to chew on stuff he shouldn’t, but he learns quickly when he gets a stern “No!”

Overall, Finn is a great dog, he just needs owners or a sibling that will match his energy.
