Fletcher

Fletcher is approximately a year old and a BC mix. He was supposed to work cattle but kept escaping from his prior owner’s fence. A neighbor picked him up and reached back out to the owner who told her she could keep him because he didn’t want Fletcher any more. She agreed to take him knowing she was not going to be able to take care of him long term and reached out to BCSAVE for assistance.

Fletcher is a timid dog, unsure of people though he absolutely LOVES other dogs. He is on the smaller side, about 34 lbs, and needs to learn to trust people. He will walk on a leash with some hesitation, but easily crates himself as it is his “safe” space. He is a smart dog, learning the dog door in a single day. He is also learning to play with the other dogs but is passive about it. Fletcher will need an experienced dog owner who can work with him to build trust and will not push him too hard too fast.
