Forest

Remember Kelly and her female quintet of pups, the Luck O’ the Irish litter? Well, we found a sixth pup and he’s a boy! Turns our Kelly had six puppies, NOT five, and the sixth pup was discovered living under the house of his place of birth. The shelter was able to get the owners to surrender him, and since we had taken Kelly and her babies back in January 2022, asked us if we would be able to take in the last remaining pup and we said yes.

Underweight, full of fleas, and super-shy, Forest is approximately 7 mo old and 26 lbs. He’s a sweet guy who you can tell just wants to be loved. He’s got the gorgeous red heeler coloring with the Border Collie/ McNab white chest, mask and tip of the tail, and if he’s anything like his mom and sisters, will likely stay under 35-40 lbs.

His foster mom says he’s a big goof ball that they have nicknamed him “Monkey”. He’s potty-trained, heartworm negative, good with cats, super playful, crates well and loves to play with the other puppies. Forest also LOVES the water, is super fast and agile and just wants to please you. One of the puppies from this litter was DNA tested and was 52.5% McNab, 27.5% cattle dog and 20% border collie and all the puppies seems to have the same physical traits, so we expect this is Forest’s mix as well.
