Gemini

Gemini joined BCSAVE with Clover after their original owners moved out of state and extended family could not care for the two pups any longer. Gemini’s owners claimed she was purebred working stock, and she definitely has herding drive. We think Gemini has also been mom to a few breeding litters before being surrendered to us.

Gemini is about 4 years old and 38 lbs. Initially, she comes off as a mellow, laid back pup but once you get her outside and into working mode, she turns into a beast, herding others dogs with ease. She has a quiet, mature confidence about her, and easily acclimates to new people and new situations.

She is great with other dogs (even with the herding), and is supposed to be good with cats and kids, though we have not tested her personally. She is medium to medium-high energy, loves to snuggle, and settles nicely with no issues. She does like to chase closely on the heels of other pups and will splash into the water after them. She doesn’t seem to have much interest in toys though. She is crate, house, and leash trained and seems like a pretty turn-key pup.

Gemini will be a great family pet and if you have some goats or sheep she can work every so often, she’d love to show you what she can do!
