Gibbs was a BC mix who came into the rescue early in his life. He was one of our long-timers, staying with us for over six months while we found his perfect family. At 18 months old and close to 50 lbs of pure muscle, Gibbs was a goofball of a guy whose sole mission in life was to have fun! He would wrestle and play and run and romp with any pup you put him with, and loved water, swimming even when it’s too cold for other dogs and loving it! He was super-smart, but like some guys, could be a little stubborn at times and a little overly enthusiastic. Lots of folks were interested in Gibbs but no one sent in an adoption application until one of BCSAVE’s long-time supporters and followers, who had been following Gibbs since he arrived, decided that she was going to pull the trigger and take the chance. Gibbs traveled over land for four days from Texas to Maine, where he immediately won over his new mom, his fur-brother, and everyone at work and doggie play camp. He is still getting used to the snow, but knowing Gibbs, that won’t stop him from continuing to be the goofy, lovable guy he is.
