Gus

Gus is 3-4 year old purebred Border Collie who was originally bred for herding. He was not good at herding, so he was rehomed to another owner who was not able to give him sufficient exercise and time. Gus was rehomed once again to a private rescuer who wanted to help Gus find a home that could provide him the physical and mental stimulation he needs.

Gus is a sweet pup though he does startle easily. He is a little timid at first and takes a minute to warm up to new people, but once he does, he loves to cuddle and snuggle. He is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He can be crated though he prefers to be by your side. Gus has also recently started showing some toy and herding drive, and he is learning how to play with other dogs. Gus does not like a lot of hubbub or commotion and would benefit from a home with a large back yard, maybe another dog or two, and a kid or two to throw him a ball and teach him how to fetch.
