Hershey

Hershey came from a small rural shelter that is not open to the public and was at risk of being euthanized. Staying at the shelter for far longer than they normally allow, Hershey was lucky enough to have a rescue angel fighting to save his life. While he was very fearful upon first coming into the shelter and presented with fear aggression, he warmed up and responded very quickly and ate cookies from his rescue angel’s hands.

Since then, his rescue angel has been working with him on getting used to people and being on a leash. Hershey is not a confident dog and wants to be near someone when he’s outdoors, but he’s very smart and attentive of what his keeper is doing and of his surroundings and listens really well. At about 2 years old and 43 lbs, Hershey could stand to put on a little weight but is likely pretty full-grown. He will be “Coming Soon” while he decompresses and learns how to “dog”, but interested applicants can submit apps now for him.
