Jace

Jace is an approximately 4 year old 32 lb. likely purebred BC boy. He was found a few months ago in a rural part of Louisiana, unable to use rear legs and with a big cut on front leg. The rescue angel helped him heal and he can walk/ run now with a limp, but was unable to take care of him any longer and released him to rescue. We got him to the vet to check him out and the vet says everything looks good. Jace does still have a limp at times when he runs too hard, but otherwise, has no issues.

Jace is a HIGH herding drive boy. All he wants to do is herd something – cats in the past and other dogs right now, and would probably do great with ducks or sheep, though we’re not sure he has enough grit for cattle. He doesn’t have much toy or food drive either, so training him to do something other than what he wants to do might be a little challenging. He does love his people though, and gets along great with all other dogs. He is also very social and LOVES meeting new people, including kids, and going out to public places, though you’ll want to make sure he stays on leash because he is quick and fast and his recall is not so great. He is crate, house and leash trained.

Jace will need a VERY active family, and would love to have a best friend (or friends!) to run and chase and play with. And if you have something else for Jace to herd, he will be more than happy to stay outside until you convince him to come in.
