Jackie

Jackie is a petite 30 lb, BC mix (maybe purebred) who was found in rural Mississippi and transported to our rescue partner in Louisiana. She is a sweet girl who takes comfort from her person and is learning how to dog. She is a little shy at first, especially around new people and environments and new dogs and will raise a lip if they get in her space, but afterwards, she’ll run and herd them all day long. She is learning to play with toys, and is very treat motivated.

She has turned out to be a VERY active pup who wants to run all day long. She has a very strong herding drive, and would likely be very good at agility or flyball. Jackie’s focus is her person and she does not care about other dogs if her person is around. She also is not a dog to play with other dogs, opting to run and herd over anything else. She is also heartworm positive, and finished her treatment in early August, and will need to be retested in six months. She can be adopted to a very active family or sport family that can match her drive and need for activity.
