Jasper

Jasper is a 64 lb., 5-6 year old male from the Houston area. Jasper’s dad was very ill and was not able to care for himself or Jasper and one of his last wishes was that Jasper find a comfortable and loving home where he could live out the rest of his life. Jasper’s dad actually rescued Jasper a year before to keep him from going to the shelter, and we felt the least we could do was to honor his wishes and find Jasper a new home.

Jasper is a sweet, calm, quiet pup who loves to sit on couch with you or just be in the same room while you are watching tv. He’s pretty good on a leash and is not reactive to other dogs passing him. He does well with most dogs, though he won’t back down if another dog presses him. He’s also cat friendly, though thunder makes him very nervous! He is learning to sit and he’s getting crate trained. He does have some skin allergies and he’s currently on oral medications and a topical shampoo and is doing much better.

Jasper would do great in a slower, calmer home either by himself or with another mellow pup. He loves his people and does well with kids also.
