Maximus

Maximus (Max) and his brother Cochise are 6 year old purebred Border Collie boys out of the Macon, Georgia area. They joined us after being rescued by a fellow BC rescue in the Atlanta area from a hoarding case. They were two out of several dogs that were pulled and transferred to different rescues. Littermates, Max and Cochise are both extremely sweet and loving pups, extremely well-socialized considering the home life they can from. They both have lost a lot of hair due to flea allergies, and are currently being fed fish oil and supplements to help grow their coats back.

Max is an old ball dog, loving to chase his ball but smart enough to know when to stop. He gets along great with other dogs, but the ball and the person throwing it are his first loves. Max would be considered a moderately active pup. He has a sweet and curious temperament, and will make a great pet for someone looking for some outdoor/ backyard fun but not needing a super high energy ball dog.
