Maxine

Maxine is a BC mix, maybe with some sort of spaniel or retriever. A young girl about a year old, Maxine was picked up as a stray by Lufkin Animal Control. With her exuberant personality and easy-going ways, Maxine quickly became a shelter favorite before joining BCSAVE.
Maxine is a great pup, never having met a stranger (dog or human). She acclimates easily to new situations and loves to play with other pups or her people. A moderately active dog, Maxine can be found swimming in the pond or playing with a ball or both. She is still working her way through a late puppy stage, and does like to chew and get into stuff so her new family will need to keep an eye on her. Maxine is also heartworm positive, and began her treatment in June and will need to complete her treatment prior to being adopted. Maxine will do well with constructive activities to keep her busy and should be great with other dogs, adults and kids.
