Meg

Meg (split face) is approx. 1-2 years old, 37 lbs and not yet spayed. She is suffering from severe hair loss but a skin scrape for demodex mange was negative and she didn’t have fleas, so no flea allergies. She was treated for sarcoptic mange (just in case) but in the end, we think her hair loss was just bad living as she’s starting to regrow her hair since being in foster care. Unfortunately, like most of our shelter dogs from Louisiana, Meg is heartworm positive and will need to go through fast kill treatment with her foster, including activity restriction for a minimum of 60 days. Meg is sweet and loving and slightly timid and will need some tender loving care to nurse her back to health and confidence.
