Murphy is a year old, 44 lb BC mix boy who was picked up as a stray in Longview TX. Shy and timid as well as heartworm positive, the shelter felt he would be better with a rescue and reached out to us. We met Murphy and immediately realized he was a sweet, easygoing guy who just needed a place away from the shelter to relax.
Murphy is a laid back, moderately active dog who gets along great with other dogs. He loves to snuggle and get in your lap, and doesn’t realize that at 44 lbs, he is not exactly the best size for most laps lol. This doesn’t stop him from trying though! He also loves pets and belly rubs, though he doesn’t always have to be by your side and is more than happy to mosey about the yard. He may take a minute to warm up to you, but once he does, gives you the sweetest look when he wants some attention. He has started his fast kill heartworm treatment, and can be fostered-to-adopt or adopted with a heartworm contract.
