Ofi

Ofi is approximately 5 years old and around 46 lbs (about 5-6 lbs above his ideal weight). He was found in OK by a rescue angel in early December and the rescue angel kept Ofi for 30 days on behalf of the local shelter. All attempts to locate a family have been for naught and now he has been turned over to us.

Ofi is so gentle and loving. He’s great around strangers and teenagers and other dogs. He’s fairly easy to handle on a leash though he takes his time sniffing so you might not go far if he has it his way. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and people outside, but is not aggressive. He’s easily redirectable and doesn’t run away when off leash, outside, or in fenced-in areas. He still needs to learn his name and general recall, but once he visually sees you are calling to him, he’ll come to you. He still needs some work potty training if someone has carpet, but he’s great on hardwood floors. So far, Ofi doesn’t care for toys but he does like to chase other dogs while they play ball. He likes to run with you as well, but only when he’s gotten a couple good sniffs in. One funny personality quirk about him is that when he’s excited, he spins, and spins, and spins. It’s hilarious to watch.

Ofi would be great for someone looking for a lower-key BC boy for meandering through the neighborhood or hanging out at the house. His new family will need to make sure to monitor his food intake as he can over-indulge (and under-exercise).
