🐾 PATCH IS READY FOR HER FUREVER HOME! 🐾

Remember Patch? Her owner died and she went to the shelter and essentially shut down. After we rescued her, we realized her story didn’t start when we got her but in 6/23, when she was originally adopted from the same shelter. So, in less than 10 mo, Patch (1.5 yrs, 50+ lbs) has gone through a lot of stress!

Since out of the shelter and in an amazing foster home, Patch has regained her sense of self and she is a true BC diva girl! She’ll play with other dogs and is friendly, sweet and bouncy – probably too bouncy for littles but big kids are ok. Cats are playtoys (to their distaste) and while she’s not prey-driven, she does probably play too rough for feline companions.

She needs some improvement with her leash and house manners, though she gets better all the time. She is what we’d consider a low-moderately active pup, but some of that could be due to her past home environment where she probably lived a fairly sedentary lifestyle. She will play in spurts now but then naps. But even as she drops some excess pounds, she’ll probably never be an “active” pup, but one that is happy with walks and backyard play time before resting again. She is agile though – jumping on counters when the mood strikes her (or the cat food is left out).
