Preacher

Preacher is a Border Collie mix who came to BCSAVE after being picked up as a stray in Parker County. A sweet, unassuming pup, Preacher’s favorite thing is to get belly rubs. His second favorite thing is to run along the fence and bark at donkeys. Preacher would be considered a moderately active pup who loves to be with his people. He gets along fine with other dogs, and is a great dog to just hang out with outside or at home. He is house-trained and can easily be crate-trained, as he enjoys sleeping and relaxing in his crate. He is a little sensitive and will roll over and show his belly if you reach for his collar, so he will need a gentle hand with leash training. He has jumped a 4′ fence once when left outside, so any new owner will need to be cautious initially if leaving Preacher outside on his own. All in all though, Preacher is a great go-along/ get-along dog. He is not pushy about attention, doesn’t need to have other dogs but is fine if they are around, and is just an easy pup to have around.
