River, Rico, Potato (see alumni page) and Hazel (see alumni page) were abandoned and found their way to three different homes that were kind enough to take them in (and those good Samaritans then found their way to us!)

River is a great little pup. He is incredibly smart and eager to earn a treat. He is potty trained, knows sit and lay down, and is thoroughly enjoying learning fetch. He loves running around with his foster dog brothers and playing and pouncing on his toys. When playtime is over River settles down nicely. He sleeps during car rides and sleeps through the night. he is affectionate to people and respectful of the senior dog in the home. His first outdoor walk came very naturally to him and he would make a wonderful hiking buddy. His potential is limitless with his intelligence and confidence.

River has a little bit of hair loss around his eyes, likely as a result of flea dermatitis. But it’s growing in beautifully now! He would be best suited with someone who is active and looking for their new best friend.

Adopters will be responsible for getting ALL the remaining puppy vaccinations, heartworm testing at 6-7 months of age (if not completed prior to adoption), and a neuter at no less than 12 months of age.
