Rylie

Rylie is a 3 year old purebred Border Collie (no papers) who was owner surrendered after her family lost everything in one of the many 2020 Louisiana hurricanes. They found themselves having to move and wanted Rylie to be placed in a good home as they could not care for her any more. She came to BCSAVE courtesy of our rescue partner in Louisiana.

Rylie was heartworm positive when she came to us. She went into a foster to adopt home in early 2021 who completed her heartworm treatment. She began having digestive issues and to nip/ herd the young children she was around. After several months, the adopter-to-be and BCSAVE determined that the potential home was not the right home for Rylie, so Rylie came back in to rescue in September 2021. Luckily, she has tested heartworm negative.

Rylie is a pure herder and needs room to run and stretch her legs. She does well in a crate and on leash, but she can be a little stubborn with her recall. She does not have any toy or food drive. Rylie is a sweet, active pup who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and also loves to snuggle and cuddle. She would do well in a home with other dogs she can chase and room to run with someone who is just going to love her for the derpy, goofy, run all day if she could dog that she is.
