Shadow

🐾 Shadow (1 YO, 27 lbs) was found abandoned in a home on 12/12/23. He was very underweight, but otherwise healthy and in good spirits. The shelter placed him for adoption and he had an appointment scheduled for someone to come in and see him on 12/16. Since he was potentially going to be adopted, he got neutered on 12/15/23 and then his appointment for adoption was a no call no show. 😭

Since then, there had been no interest in sweet Shadow. He was really starting to decline mentally in the shelter environment. He was very anxious and stressed, continuously stress barking in his kennel and had the spins. It was very difficult for him to relax and the shelter reached out for help. They are a small shelter with several dogs and unfortunately, his time was limited.

We picked up Shadow 1/7/24. He is such a sweet boy, if nervous. He let us pet him and pick him up to put in his crate for the ride to his foster, and we think he’s going to be just fine once he gets settled. He’s up to date on all of his shots and heartworm negative.
