Tabitha
Tabitha is an approximately 2 year old, Aussie mix. Extremely pregnant, she was found as a stray by an East Texas shelter that was overcrowded and in the position of having to make difficult decisions to make space. While BCSAVE was preparing to pull her from the shelter and move her to a foster, she decided to have seven puppies the very same day! BCSAVE decided to go ahead and move Tabitha and her pups, as the shelter is no place for newborn pups, and got her to a foster who has tons of puppy experience.
Since being moved into foster care, Tabitha has shown herself to be a sweet, loving, friendly pup, more than willing to snuggle with her foster mom and dad as well as well as play and share with her foster fur-brothers and sisters. She even gets along with the lone cat in the household! While she is still weaning her pups right now, we expect her to be finished weaning by mid-July and available for adoption at that time. Once she is finished weaning her pups, we will get her heartworm tested, completely updated with shots and scheduled for a spay. If adopted prior to her spay date, her adopter will need to take her to one of BCSAVE’s partner vets for spaying or will have to pay for the cost of a spay to a different vet.
