Trix joined BCSAVE after a late night emergency message about a dog with a leg injury who was to be euthanized the next day. After some frenzied rescue coordination, we got Trix to our vet to check on her leg. Originally told it might be as bad as a break, the leg turned out to only have several punctures wounds but already healing so well that the vet didn’t even give Trix any pain meds or antibiotics. She also got her last shots and other than a recommendation to lose weight, got a clean bill of health!
Trix looks like a sheltie/mini-Aussie mix based on height and is around 5 yrs old. She rides great, is crate/ leash/ house-trained, and loves giving kisses and getting pets. She’s a quick learner and we imagine she’ll be a bouncy pup when she gets to her fighting weight (she’s about 5-6 lbs overweight). She is super-sweet, and wants to be friends with all the other pups.
