Ziggy

Ziggy is a rescue from south of San Antonio. A little over six months old or so, Ziggy is incredibly sweet, smart, and headstrong, with a ton of puppy wriggly energy but few puppy annoyances. He seems to already be potty trained. He has yet to go indoors and while he doesn’t “ask” to go outside, he confidently potties when let outside and sleeps through the night loose in the kitchen area without incident. He is wonderful with redirection even when he’s excited – for example, if he is chewing on something he shouldn’t be and is given a toy instead, he transitions without fixating. He already knows how to sit and figures out what we want him to do quickly if treats are involved. Not sure if he has been officially crate trained, but he doesn’t put up a fuss when in the crate and goes in on his own every so often (he doesn’t hang out in there, but he isn’t afraid of it!).

He is wonderful with other dogs! He reads body language very well and plays respectfully. He doesn’t have too much trouble “reading the room” when playtime is over. He plays on his own frequently and is happy to just throw a toy around when he’s bored.

He does have a tendency to bark and tries to climb on the table when you eat, so these are going to be a training focus for his foster. That, and leash walking, of course!
