Coolie is one of four Border Collie/ Aussie mixes rescued from the shelter. Nine dogs in total were surrendered from the same owner, and BCSAVE took four (while two other rescues took the rest). All of the dogs were very shy and timid at the shelter, but warmed up once in foster homes.

Coolie is the smallest of the four, with a stub tail. She is a playful pup, but can get a little overwhelmed with a lot of activity. She also guards her food, but is improving with this every day. She loves to run and wrestle with her brother, Coal, and enjoy splashing around the pond. She will squeeze through a fence to chase livestock (cattle, donkeys) so her new owner needs to make sure the fence is secure. She is learning how to walk on a leash, and is almost completely house-trained. She is shy with new people and may take several days to warm up to you, but she is a fun, lively pup once she knows who you are.
