Denham came to us by way of Louisiana, where BCSAVE partners with a private rescuer to save Border Collies in small, rural parts of that state. A beautiful tri-colored red, Denham weighs in at a whopping 26 lbs of pure heart and fluff! He was in a shelter since February 2020 until July, when our friend was able to spring him and pull him into rescue. Unfortunately, he is also heartworm positive, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to play and run and snuggle all day. He gets along great with other dogs and is very social and personable with people. We would consider him a moderate level energy pup – one that does not need constant exercise but would be good for a family with a backyard and kids that he can play with, or a family that takes lots of walks. He hasn’t shown much toy interest yet, but it’s still early.
