BCSAVE heard of a BC mix female, 4-5 years old, in medical need (diagnosed with pancreatitis) in a shelter in Oklahoma. We immediately reached out to let them know we could assist and coordinated transportation. When we got the pup, we realized that she was probably not a BC mix (maybe sheltie/ Aussie), quite a few years older than 4-5 years, and fairly overweight with a bobbed tail and a deep respiratory cough.
We took her in anyway and made her an official BCSAVE’rrr! A sweet yet spunky senior pup, Gramma is very well-behaved. She must have been a house dog in the past, as she is house trained and leash trained. She loves nothing more than to sit by her person and get belly rubs.
