Josie joined BCSAVE in March 2023. Her original owners bought her in a parking lot a few months earlier to try and give her a better home. However, Josie was MUCH more energetic than the owners and their two elderly Shih-zhus could handle and they reached out for help.
She was SUPER ball driven so we placed her in a sport foster home to assess her sport drive. Her fosters tested her drive, her sociability, her temperament, and a whole bunch of other things and quickly determined that Josie was a fantastic little pup. They did a DNA test and found out that Josie was also:
49% Border Collie
43% Mini American Shepherd
7% Australian Shepherd
1% McNab
And that sealed the deal!!!
SO congrats to Josie (now known as Reverie or “Vivi”) and her new family. She started off a parking lot pup and now she’s a spoiled, treasured member of a fantastic sport family with hooman and fur-brothers and sisters and we couldn’t be happier!!!
