It took a village to get Kismet to BCSAVE and then to her new family! Kismet was found on a live gun range while there was shooting. Someone spotted her, sounded the alarm to shut down the shooting, then they were kind enough to go and get her. They tried to find her people but no luck, so they sent her to a shelter that is not open to the public. A volunteer heard of her there, reached out to BCSAVE, and picked her up and took her to her new foster. One of the kindest, sweetest dogs ever, Kismet never met a person she didn’t immediately love and vice versa. She was very popular at the meet and greet events because all she wanted to do was snuggle!
Now, when Kismet first came to us, there were several excellent adopters that were interested in her. She was adopted to a wonderful family and the other interested adopters continued to look at other pups, both with BCSAVE and other rescues. Fast forward several weeks and Kismet came back to BCSAVE as the first match just wasn’t “the one”. Well, we reached back out to the other potential adopter (who we had kept in touch with and even showed other dogs), and they agreed to foster Kismet for a while to make sure that they were the best match for her. Well, they fell for Kismet and Kismet for them and told us they wanted to make it official – and we couldn’t be happier! Just think – this whole time Kismet was adopted then came back, they could have found another pup but just never did. It was fate – or Kismet!!!!!
