Kit

Kit is a medium active, intelligent dog that likes to learn, please, love and work. She is a very good watchman, vigilant and always on the alert. As a young active companion, she is loyal and soft but not yet seasoned due her age and education. She is friendly with children and careful with stranger adults. She gets along well with other dogs and has shown a powerful hunting instinct which can cause problems with small animals (cats) if not initially well socialized.  Very much puppy, she is a playful but has great social skills.  Unfamiliar with toys, she prefers the company of other playful dogs for a wrestling, play bite, or chase around the yard.  Kit will succeed in a home with a second active and playful dog.  Kit has no interest in being left alone outside and will paw at the door to come in; a smart girl, she quickly learned how to use the dog door but seldom goes outside unless it is to use the bathroom or play chase.  She came into rescue with few belongings but did have her favorite toy which occasionally she will ask you to throw – she is still learning how much fun toys can be.  Despite her age, Kit has an excellent off switch and is capable of napping while watching TV or working all day in the office.  Occasionally you will find her entertaining herself with a bone but more often than not, she just likes to lay by her human.  Sometimes she can exhibit some puppy jealously over human attention but has shown no sign of resource guarding toys/food and has no leash or fence aggression.  She loves being held and right before bedtime, Kit will offer a paw, her head, or a kiss to say thanks and I love you. She is house broken, rides great in a car, and enjoys sleeping in her crate.
