Mercedes is about a year old, and about 35 lbs. She was an owner surrender who was living in pretty poor conditions with a number of other dogs. With very little interaction with people, she came to BCSAVE scared and frightened and took several days just to allow herself to be pet. We also think she recently had puppies, though none could be found when she was rescued. She is very leash reactive, and will take a patient hand to teach her how to trust. Unfortunately, Mercedes is also heartworm positive and will need to go through treatment for the next few months. She will be listed as Coming Soon as we get her treatment started and get her a little more socialized, though adopters with experience in fearful and/or heartworm positive pups can submit an application for her today.
