Skeeter is an approximately 12 week old puppy who was found as a stray in Mesquite, TX. She was originally going to be saved by another rescue, but they were not able to get her, so BCSAVE stepped in and we are glad we did!

Skeeter is all puppy – loves to play with her older foster brothers and sisters, and loves to pounce, chase, wrestle, tug and all other things puppies like to do. She’s great with kids, having loads of fun with the neighbors and is not afraid of meeting new people. Skeeter has not shown any specific drive at this time (she *is* only 3 months old). We can’t say for sure how much Border Collie she may have, but we do know that she is cute cute cute and will make a great family pet!

Skeeter is available for adoption now, though we will want to make sure that any adopter is ready to raise a new puppy and all the challenges and fun that comes along with a pup. She has not been spayed, so her adoptive family will be responsible for spaying her and providing BCSAVE with documentation of the spay prior to her turning a year. She has also not been tested for heartworms, as heartworms are not detectable until at least 6-7 months of age. She has been placed on preventative, but BCSAVE recommends her adoptive family test her for heartworms at 7 months and again 6 months later.
